Isidora's Artisanal Ceremonial Cacao
Isidora's Artisanal Ceremonial Cacao
As "gringos," we made our way to Valle Estrella, Talamanca, limón. A remote area where few outsiders venture and which remains largely unknown to the outside world. Recognizing the importance of local knowledge and support for our transition to this new way of life, our first mission was to connect with trustworthy locals who have deep roots in the mountains.
It was during this search that we met Fabian, the son of Isidora. After nearly a year of collaboration on our farm Seva, he revealed that his mother crafts cacao. Intrigued, we began purchasing her cacao for personal use while we were developing our sea moss business. It didn’t take long for us to realize that Isidora had created an exceptional, irresistible product that deserved to be shared with a wider audience.
When we approached Isidora about partnering together, she set her price for her artisanal cacao blocks, and we agreed to pay exactly what she asked. Her cacao is not just a product; it’s her art and her medicine, and she defines the value of her work.
This small-batch cacao is truly unique, as it’s made entirely by Isidora’s hands, making wholesale distribution impossible. If you love this cacao, you’ll want to be among the lucky 20 individuals each month who have the opportunity to purchase it before it runs out.
